The Company was engaged in the import, distribution as well as marketing of Pharmaceuticals, Medical Equipment, Laboratory Reagents, Skin & Beauty Care Products, Home Monitoring devices, and Dietary Supplements. They had four dedicated division (Pharmaceutical, Medical Equipment, Consumer Products, and Retail Pharmacies) and the company was looking for an integrated platform for managing employee competency. The expectations of the client were to reduce the traveling and stay cost by 45% by converting the whole system online which would ease the training process for employees as well.
The training needs of all the divisions were studied and a curriculum was designed which included the most frequently conducted training. The curriculum was then converted to audiovisual format. Each curriculum was embedded with knowledge tests and also concluded by an overall certification.Real time tracking was built into the delivery portal of the online content. Thus it was ensured that the employee completed their training.
Within 3 weeks of the launch, the coverage of the training reached 28%. The entire training system of the organization became very vibrant and people started logging a lot of training hours at the convenience of their locations – in a self-paced mode. The company later switched their compliance training also (related to legal compliance) online. With the help of this integrated platform, the company was able to achieve their target of 45% cost savings and the training process became more organized and structured.
